Installation precautions
When installing a negative pressure fan, the wall on this side of the fan must be properly sealed. Especially there should be no gaps around the fan. The ideal method for installing a negative pressure fan is to close all the walls and nearby doors and windows on the fan side, and open the doors and windows on the opposite wall to ensure that the airflow flows in a straight line.
The installation of negative pressure fans is a very important project, which has a significant impact on the future use of negative pressure fans. Attention must be paid throughout the entire installation process.
Before installation
1. Before installing the negative pressure fan, it is necessary to carefully check whether the fan is intact and undamaged, whether the bolts of each fastener are loose or detached, and whether the impeller collides with the fan cover. Carefully inspect the fan blades or louvers for any deformation or damage during transportation.
2. When selecting the air outlet environment for installation, it should be noted that there should not be too many obstacles within 2.5-3 meters opposite the air outlet.
During installation
1. Stable installation: When installing the negative pressure fan, attention should be paid to the horizontal position of the fan and adjusted to ensure that the negative pressure fan is level and stable with the foundation plane. After installation, the motor must not tilt.
2. When installing the negative pressure fan, the adjusting bolt of the motor should be in a convenient position for operation. For easy adjustment of belt tension during use.
3. When installing the negative pressure fan bracket, it is necessary to ensure that the bracket is level and stable with the foundation plane. If necessary, install angle iron next to the negative pressure fan for further reinforcement.
4. After the installation of the negative pressure fan, the sealing around it should be checked. If there is a gap, it can be sealed with a polycarbonate sheet or glass glue.
After installation
1. After installation, check if there are any tools or debris left inside the negative pressure fan. Use your hand or lever to turn the fan blades and check for any tightness or rubbing, as well as any obstructions or abnormalities that may hinder rotation. Only then can you proceed with the trial operation.
2. If there is vibration of the negative pressure fan or abnormal buzzing sound of the motor or other abnormal phenomena during operation, the machine should be stopped for inspection and repaired before restarting for use.
Ventilation principle
The negative pressure fan exhausts air outward, causing the indoor air pressure to decrease and the indoor air to become thinner, forming a negative pressure zone. The air compensates for the pressure difference and flows into the room. In practical applications of industrial plants, negative pressure fans are centrally installed on one side of the plant, with the air inlet on the other side of the plant. Air flows through the air inlet to the negative pressure fan to form convective blowing. During this process, the doors and windows near the negative pressure fan remain closed, forcing air to flow into the workshop through the compensating doors and windows on the intake side. The air flows into the workshop in an orderly manner through the air inlet, passes through the workshop, and is discharged from the workshop by a negative pressure fan. Thorough and efficient ventilation, with a ventilation rate of up to 99%. Through specific engineering design and the design of ventilation rates and wind speeds as needed, any high heat, harmful gases, dust or smoke can be quickly discharged from the workshop, and any ventilation problems can be completely solved in one go. The ventilation effect can be achieved within a few seconds of turning on the fan.
Model classification
The structure and technical parameters of all commercially available galvanized sheet square negative pressure fans are basically the same. The main models are 1380 * 1380 * 400mm 1.1 kW, 1220 * 1220 * 400mm 0.75 kW, 1060 * 1060 * 400mm 0.55 kW, and 900 * 900 * 400mm 0.37 kW. The speed of all galvanized square negative pressure fans is 450 revolutions per minute, the motor is a 4-pole 1400 revolutions per minute, the motor protection level is IP44, and the insulation level is B. Some smaller negative pressure fans have lost their significance as negative pressure fans due to low air volume, loud noise, and low exhaust efficiency, and will not be described here. Relatively large negative pressure fans have higher exhaust efficiency and are more energy-efficient. Fiberglass horn shaped negative pressure fans are divided into two types based on their transmission structure: belt type and straight type. The belt type speed is between 370-450 revolutions per minute, and it adopts a six pole or four pole aluminum shell motor with a protection level of IP55 F insulation. Products with low speed have relatively low noise. There are three main types of direct motors: 12 pole 440 rpm, 10 pole 560 rpm, and 8 pole 720 rpm. 12 pole motors are commonly used and high speed fans produce loud noise. Belt type products are energy-saving, economical, and durable. Straight type products are suitable for use in places where belt type products cannot work, such as those with oil stains or corrosion to the belt. The glass fiber reinforced plastic horn shaped negative pressure fan blades mainly include 6 blades, 7 blades, 3 blades, and 5 blades. The blade materials mainly include die cast aluminum alloy, engineering plastic (nylon and fiber), and glass fiber reinforced plastic. Blades with different blade numbers, blade angles, and radians need to be reasonably matched with speed and power, and a single data cannot explain the exhaust performance of the fan.

Noise Solutions
Reason 1: The negative pressure fan was installed in close contact with the window frame, causing resonance of the window frame during operation.
Solution: Reduce the filling material between the window frame and the water air conditioner appropriately, and use softer materials to fill it. If the bottom of the installation is uneven, the bottom plate should be firmly padded and placed steadily and securely.
Reason 2: Poor installation of negative pressure fan. The installation of negative pressure fan should be in a suspended state, and the spring of the foot bolt cannot be pressed to death.
Solution: Please ask the maintenance personnel to adjust the installation status of the negative pressure fan so that it is in a suspended state.
Reason 3: If the vibration damping pad or fixing screw of the negative pressure fan base is tightened too tightly, it will lose its vibration damping effect and produce vibration sound during operation.
Solution: Adjust the tightness of the screws on the vibration damping pad of the negative pressure fan base to make the base surface flat.
Reason 4: The power supply voltage is too low, causing abnormal noise and vibration when the negative pressure fan starts or runs.
Solution: Control the power supply voltage within the rated voltage range. Usually, a voltage regulator or power regulator can be used to stabilize the voltage.
Reason 5: The negative pressure fan blades collide with the fan casing (cover).
Solution: Adjust the fan blades. Reason six: Poor bearing of the fan motor of the negative pressure fan, loose screws on the base of the axial flow fan, loose fixing of the fan blades on the shaft, and insufficient clearance between the top of the fan blades and the hood body.
Solution: Replace the negative pressure fan motor bearing and tighten the screws on the base and shaft of the axial flow fan. Adjust the distance between the blade tip and the casing according to production technology requirements, generally not exceeding 1.5% of the blade length.
Reason 7: Loose screws on the base of the negative pressure fan, poor assembly of the impeller, excessive speed, loose fixing screws on the shaft, and other solutions
Solution: Tighten the screws on the fan base and shaft of the negative pressure fan. Reassemble and adjust the impeller clearance according to technical requirements
Installation and use
Firstly, unpack and inspect each part of the negative pressure fan for any deformation or damage during transportation. If such a situation exists, it should be repaired and calibrated before formal installation and use.
1; Open the junction box, turn on the power supply and run (no-load). The impeller rotates in the same direction as the arrow on the nameplate. The negative pressure fan casing needs to be grounded and observed for any contact with the casing. If this situation occurs, it should be adjusted immediately.
2; The wiring flange of the negative pressure fan should be connected to canvas or other flexible connections to facilitate vibration isolation between the fiberglass fan and the pipeline. The fiberglass fan should not bear the weight of the external air duct. Vibration pads should be added or removed at the connection between the roof type fiberglass fan and the foundation, as well as at the connection between the split type wind cap, and sealant should be added to avoid air leakage.
3; The negative pressure fan must be installed in place, and all fasteners must be re tightened.
4; After clearing the inlet and outlet pipelines of the negative pressure fan and all obstacles nearby, it can be officially put into use.
Usage environment
1. The usage environment should be kept clean regularly, the surface of the fan should be kept clean, and there should be no debris at the inlet and outlet. Regularly remove dust and other debris from the fan and pipes.
2. The fan can only be operated when it is completely normal. The power supply facilities must have sufficient capacity and stable voltage, and phase loss operation is strictly prohibited. The power supply line must be a dedicated line and temporary lines should not be used for long-term power supply.
During the operation of the fan, if abnormal noise is detected, the motor is severely overheating, the casing is electrified, the switch trips, and the fan cannot be started, it should be stopped immediately for inspection. For safety reasons, maintenance is not allowed during the operation of the fan. After maintenance, a trial run should be conducted for about five minutes to confirm that there are no abnormal phenomena before starting the machine.
4. According to the environmental conditions of use, lubricating grease should be supplemented or replaced irregularly for the bearings (motor enclosed bearings do not need to replace lubricating grease during their service life). To ensure good lubrication of the fan during operation, the oiling frequency should not be less than 1000 hours per time. For enclosed bearings and motor bearings, ZL-3 lithium based lubricating grease should be used to fill 2/3 of the inner and outer rings of the bearings. It is strictly prohibited to operate without oil.
5. The fan should be stored in a dry environment to prevent the motor from getting damp. When storing fans outdoors, rain protection measures should be taken. During storage and handling, the fan should be protected from collision to prevent damage.
